A rare chance to watch a revealing documentary on the remarkable life and avant garde work of the great US composer and instrument builder, Harry Partch. 

The Outsider was first broadcast on BBC television, and contains extraordinary archive footage of Partch, as well as appearances by Philip Glass, Betty Freeman and Madeline Tourtelot.

This free screening is a great way to prepare for tonight’s concert by Ensemble Musikfabrik and Ingar Zach, who will be playing music on exact replicas of Partch’s weird and wonderful instruments at Den Norske Opera & Ballett at 20.30
