Kulturkirken Jakob, established in 2000, is a prominent cultural venue in Oslo. The former parish church, converted into a cultural arena after extensive renovations, offers exceptional acoustics and hosts concerts, theatre performances, and art exhibitions.

How to get there:
Tram: Lines 11, 12, 17, or 18 (stop: Nybrua).
Bus: Lines 34 or 54 (stop: Jakob kirke).
Parking: No guest parking.

  • Accessibility: Step-free access with a mobile ramp. No automatic door openers or lift. No internal stairs. Handrails on stairs.
  • Toilet: HC toilet, clearly signposted.
  • Seating: Yes.
  • Signage: Fire alarms are accessible for visually and hearing impaired. Stairs are marked and non-slip. Glass doors and exposed areas are marked. Emergency exit is clearly marked but not wheelchair accessible. Information signs are mounted to avoid collisions.
  • Interpreter and teleloop: No. Lighting is poor for lip reading and sign language communication.
  • Tickets: Accompanying certificate accepted. Companions can sit with those they are accompanying.
