Ultima 2024 – What sounds do you long for?

Ultima is a music festival with an ear on the present. Over ten days, we present concerts, sound art, music theatre, exhibitions, dance and talks that resonate with the thoughts, concerns, moods and dreams of our time.

The music at this year’s Ultima is full of longing – yearning for recognition and belonging, for a liveable environment, for freedom, and for the rights to land and space.

The festival’s Norwegian and international programme includes Chris Watson, Jana Winderen, Julia Wolfe, Philip Glass, Klein, Dubmorphology, Lucinda Chua, Jessie Marino, Pinquins, Oslo-filharmonien, Cikada, Linda Catlin Smith, Compagnie Catherine Gaudet, Deena Abdelwahed, Laura Bowler, Cally Spooner, Ensemble Modern, Trond Reinholdtsen, Raven Chacon, Shovel Dance Collective and much more. See the whole programme here.

The programme is put together with the help of a myriad partners. Thanks to all who made it possible, especially the members of the Ultima foundation.

Let’s be moved and surprised by the music of our time –welcome to Ultima 2024!
