Ultima Children’s Day (BUD)

Sunday, 15 September, at 12:00–16:00
50–100 kr

It’s time for another Ultima day designed especially for kids aged 0-12! This year we launch you on an ocean of exciting performances, theatre, workshops and other activities with a watery theme that will get children’s musical imagination and creativity flowing.

From the marble staircase to the Gullbaren, many spaces in Sentralen will be connected by set designer Christina Lindgren’s decorative stream made from recycled single-use plastic. Performances and activities:

Practical Information for making the most of BUD:

  • Spend time together: Don’t try to fit everything into one go! There’s a lot happening throughout the afternoon, so focus on the activities your child is most interested in. Arrive early! Many activities have limited space, and it's first come, first served.
  • Food and Drink: At the top of the Marmortrappen (staircase) on the 3rd floor, there is a special BUD kiosk with muffins, sausages, and other child-friendly food and drinks. You can also eat at the Sentralen café.
  • Strollers: There is parking for strollers outside the main entrance. Sleeping babies in strollers can be brought into the Winter Garden. We recommend baby carriers/slings for babies being carried around the building.
  • Nursing Room: On the 3rd floor, past the BIT20 composition workshop, there is a quiet room reserved for babies (and their parents) or those who want to nurse in a peaceful place. Ask the staff if you need help finding it.
  • Rest Room: Past Galleriet (The Gallery) on the 4+ floor, there is a quiet room with drawing materials for those who need a break between performances and workshops.
  • Create your own Ultima merch: Bring an old t-shirt, hoodie, or any other piece of clothing you're tired of, and give it new life with one of this year's Ultima designs. We'll apply the design using our heat press!

NB: The performances start precisely at 12, and there may be a queue in the entrance area, so we encourage you to arrive early.
