Music, brought home.
You are invited into private homes, neighbourhoods and local communities across Oslo through a new series of house concerts.
At our house concerts, the music happens in gardens, kitchens and living rooms. You meet the musicians up close, hear their breathing, catch the scent of wood from the instruments. There's room for conversation, questions, and for hearing music you may never have encountered before, in informal surroundings.
The musicians you will meet are students from the Norwegian Academy of Music, musicians from the Lviv Philharmonic in Ukraine, and students from the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt.
The programme is tailored to each individual home, ranging from experimental big band music to contemporary chamber music classics, music theatre, and even a concert for solo nose.

About the houses
Most of the houses were found by members of our House Concert Committee (HKK), local champions in their neighbourhoods who want more music and cultural life in their districts. Some homes signed up through an open form on our website. Thank you so much to everyone who registered! And finally, a handful of homes of special architectural interest have joined the programme through our partnership with the festival Open House Oslo.
