How can environmental awareness and sustainable perspectives open new pathways in creative practice?
Ultima invites composers and sound artists to a three-day digital meetup featuring lectures and a workshop* by esteemed facilitators—performer and composer Joana Sá, scenographer Silje Sandodden Kise and sound artist Kathy Hinde—focusing on ecological consciousness, sustainable material choices, flexible formats, and digital collaboration methods within music and sound art. The digital forum organised by ULYSSES Platform will feature presentations by music and technology researcher Bilge Serdar, senior engineer Aleksander Tidemann at the Department of Musicology, and curator and flautist Bjørnar Habbestad. The forum is moderated by Ultima's Director Heloisa Amaral.
Everything on the program will be conducted in English.
Compose, Listen, Sustain! is part of Sustainable Composing & Creative Sound Practices, a one-year programme developed in collaboration with Nordic Music Days and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.
