Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival returns for its 37th edition! Save the dates 10–19 September 2026 — when Oslo will once again be filled with unexpected sound experiences.
This year’s programme features ten days of more than 60 concerts, installations and stage works, both indoors and outdoors. Audiences are invited into artistic collaborations that cross disciplines and formats, with 27 world premieres and more than 40 works and performances presented in Norway for the very first time.

The Oslo Philharmonic opens the festival on 10 September with two Norwegian premieres by Kristine Tjøgersen and Øyvind Torvund. These works make space for the fabulous and the fantastical, reminding us that even when living side by side – with one another and with other creatures – proves difficult, we can still imagine more inventive and generous ways of being in the world together.
