Ultima 2026 is launched! Check out the festival programme, festival guides and venues this year.
Meet the Fløffs! They are soft, furry and full of colour, and they are unlike anything else. Some children think they look like birds. Others see stones, clouds, monsters, animals or perhaps even a feeling.
So what kind of music belongs to a creature we cannot quite define?
At this year's Ultima, you can hear many different artists exploring noise music. The Fløffs have been given their own version.
Mini Noise is a dance performance for children, with live music on stage. At Kloden teater, the Fløffs encounter a landscape of curious sounds, rhythms and textures created by composer Arvid Ingvarsson and vocal artist Agnes Hvizdalek.
Agnes uses her voice as an instrument. She whispers, crackles, squeaks and scrapes, making sounds that hover between words and song. Drummer Arvid builds on these sounds with rhythms and patterns that repeat, but never in exactly the same way. The music follows the Fløffs' movements, changing along with them.
Perhaps you will too.
